It was not the best day
Total time: 23h 41min
Slept like a baby. 10 hours straight.
Since I opened my eyes I knew it’s not going to be the best day.
I was just not in the mood. It was hard to get up out of bed.
Only a human
I guess the information about UX course project ending up makes me sad and I needed some time to digest the information.
That was surprising because I was expecting this – the contract was till the end of the year.
I guess I’m only human and react emotionally even when there is no apparent reason to.
Connected to the reality
I looked at my phone and noticed that the lecturer conducting the UX workshops had a few questions. I got up, turned on my computer and replied.
After a few minutes, I felt connected to the reality and felt better.
Troubleshooting the mess
After breakfast, my girlfriend asked me for help with her laptop.
Turned out I messed up the operating system a few days ago when I tried to install the software on her computer.
Luckily I was able to find temporary solutions until I reinstall the entire system from scratch.
Done some work
Next, I decided to do things that I didn’t have enough time to do before.
Planning and managing next weeks and goals.
I was not in the mood for doing anything creative today.
I thought that maybe planning makes me feel prepared for anything that can happen and it (even if it’s far from the truth) calms me down.
I reflected on a thought for a while and decided to do something non-digital.
I recalled that a few days ago I wanted to cook something. So I did.
Cooking something new
Recently, I’ve tried something I didn’t even know it exists. It’s called Seitan.
It’s basically cooked and baked Gluten. Me and my girlfriend ate it in Cracov in this great restaurant last week.
Next 3 hours I spend in the kitchen preparing the Seitan and sauce for it – because every video on YouTube said it’s tasteless on its own.
Turned out not bad
Next time I’m going to cook Seitan straight from the Gluten.
Today I had to remove the starch from the regular flour and I believe that process made the Seitan squishy. The Seitan we ate last week was not squishy at all. It resembled meat in its texture.
After cooking I watched some YT videos just to relax.
Energy is back!
It was already late but the time was not correlated to my energy levels. found an energy to do something productive.
I’ve found few articles about design sprint and decide to incorporate it into my design process.
I’m familiar with the process and its benefits, so it’s going to be additional value for my clients.
Continued to work
After midnight I wrote a blog post and worked 1.5 hour on mapping my design process. I believe I’m going to finish it tomorrow.
I went to sleep at 2.30 am.
Plan for #049
Finish mapping the process
